Effort Bears Mentioning:
A starfish to the Urgent Care Center of Southwest Florida and the American Red Cross of Lee County.
They team up to fight the swine flu by sponsoring "Scrubby Bears Do't Get Sick - Wash-Up Quick" classes on Sept. 12, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the care center in Estero at Corkscrew Road and Three Oaks Parkway.
The program is designed to help kids protect themselves and stay healthy. Each child who participates will leave with their own cuddly stuffed Scrubby Bear and song sheet, as well as membership in the Scrubby Bear Clean Hands Club.
